The nendo-design ‘chandelier’ – since acquired by the NGV – contained over 70,000 individual ‘houses’ and required a manufacture technique to be identified that minimised the labour involved (and therefore cost) and that also ensured a high degree of precision to maintain the element of illusion key to the work. I worked on prototyping and testing for this key stage of the design and realisation of this prominent work.
